Using labels in Stryd
Organise customer information, workflows, and segmentation
Labels in Stryd help you organise and manage your customer database more effectively.
You can use labels to:
• Record important customer information
• Filter and segment your customer database
• Track workflow or process stages
Labels make it easy to quickly understand a customer's situation, manage ongoing work, and filter your database for reporting or campaigns.
Create labels
-
In Settings, click on Labels and click Add Label to create a new label.
-
Add the label name and decide if you want to use or create a Category (more info on Categories below).
-
Choose a colour for the label and click Save.
-
You can add a more detailed description for the label which will display to the user when hovering over the label.
Label Categories - what they are and how to use them
When creating a Label, you can link it to a Category Group, or leave it unlinked.
When a label belongs to a category, only one label from that category can be applied to a customer at a time. This ensures the label reflects the current status of that customer.
Example of using a category: Your Review Process
This category can contain labels that track the stage of a refinance or review workflow.
Example of using labels without a category: Customer Information
You might want to flag a customer as self employed, low doc loan and investor.
When to use / common scenarios
Customer information
Use labels to capture useful information about a customer's situation.
Examples:
• LMI Paid
• Low Doc Loan
• Self Employed
• First Home Buyer (FHB)
• Medico
• Reduced Income
• Guarantor
• Construction
• Rate Shopper
• Investor
• Expat
These labels help you quickly understand the customer's profile when viewing their record.
Customer segmentation
Labels can also help you filter and organise your database.
Examples:
• Gold service customers
• Investor customers
• High priority clients
This makes it easier to run targeted reviews, campaigns, or follow-ups.
Process and workflow tracking
Labels are commonly used to track where a customer sits in a process.
For example:

-
Broker to Review
-
Submit Pricing Request
-
Price Request In Progress
-
Refinance – Awaiting Docs
-
Refinance Submitted

Using workflow labels helps teams clearly track progress across their pipeline.

• Quickly understand key customer attributes
• Segment and filter your customer database
• Track workflow progress across customers
• Keep your team aligned on next actions
Troubleshooting / tips
Use categories for workflow stages
If labels represent a process stage, add them to a category so only one stage can be active at a time.
Use uncategorised labels for attributes
Customer traits (like Investor or Self Employed) should usually be uncategorised so multiple labels can be applied.
Keep labels simple
Use short, clear label names so they are easy to understand at a glance.
