Send an Open Banking Consent Request to an Existing Customer
Learn how to send an open banking consent request to one or more existing customers in Stryd, either from the customer list or from an individual customer record.
Overview
Sending open banking consent requests in Stryd allows you to securely request a customer's permission to connect their banking data. You can send requests to multiple customers at once or to a single customer directly from their record.
Steps
From the Customers List

Click Customers and then View Customers.

Select the checkbox beside each customer you want to send an open banking consent request to.

Example: Select customers who have not yet received a consent email.

Click Request Open Banking Consent.

Choose Send Initial Consent Email.

When the email template selection screen appears, choose the appropriate template.

Scroll down and click Send.

The consent email will be sent to the selected customers.

From the Customer Record
-
From the View Customers page, click on the customer’s name to open their details.

Go to the Open Banking tab.

Click Request Connection.
-
Confirm who you are sending the consent to.

Optionally pre-select lenders before continuing.

Click Continue.
-
On the next screen, choose the desired email template.

Click Send Email to send the consent request.
When to Use / Common Scenarios

When a customer’s open banking consent has expired and needs to be renewed.

When adding a new open banking connection for an existing customer.
-
When sending bulk consent requests to multiple customers at once.
Outcome
Once sent, your customer will receive an open banking consent email using the chosen template. They can follow the link in the email to complete the consent process.
Troubleshooting / Tips

Ensure customers’ email addresses are correct before sending.

Use filters in the View Customers list to quickly find those without a consent email.

You can resend a consent request at any time if the customer has not yet completed it.

Quick Steps
