Add a Customer to Stryd

Learn how to add a new customer in Stryd, including their personal details, loan information, and property details. You can also request open banking consent during this process.

 

Overview

Adding a customer in Stryd allows you to start managing their loan, property, and consent information in one place. You can include joint applicants, capture loan details manually or via open banking, and trigger property valuations automatically.

Steps

Access the Add Customer Screen

  1. Go to Customers > Add Customer, or
  2. Go to View Customers, click Add Customers (top right), then select Add a Customer.

Enter Customer Details

  1. Enter the First Name, Last Name, Email, and Mobile Number.
    • The mobile number is required to use SMS features.
  2. (Optional) To add a joint applicant, click Add a Joint Applicant and enter their details.

Add Loan Details

You have two options:

  • Open Banking Consent:
    1. Choose to send an Open Banking Consent email during the customer creation process.
    2. Select the template you would like to use.
  • Manual Loan Data:
    1. Scroll to the Current Loan section.
    2. Click the + button to add loan details.
    3. Optionally enter Start Date and End Date (useful for clawback periods).

Add Property Details

  1. Choose either to:
    • Enter a Property Valuation manually, or
    • Enter a Property Address.
      • Stryd will retrieve a valuation from PropTrack.
  2. Tick Enable Property Valuation Monitoring if you want ongoing valuations.

Create the Customer

  1. Click Create Customer.
  2. If you selected Request Open Banking Consent, the email will be sent automatically.
  3. A pop-up will confirm the customer has been successfully added.

When to Use / Common Scenarios

  • Onboarding new customers: Capture their full details and request open banking consent immediately.
  • Adding joint applicants: Keep all loan participants in the same record.
  • Property monitoring: Enable valuations to track customer property values automatically.

Outcome

Your customer is added to Stryd with their details, loans, and property recorded. If requested, the open banking consent email is sent automatically.

Troubleshooting / Tips

  • Always include a mobile number if you plan to use SMS communication.
  • Use open banking for live, accurate loan details when possible.
  • Enable valuation monitoring to track property values automatically over time.
